Build with FatFish

01 — Private healthcare

Launch a private GP service patients already trust.

Thriving Clinics. GPs starting a private business. Patients book without leaving the site.

The venture

Practising GPs in Cheshire wanted a new private venture — starting with a doctor-led weight-loss programme — that still felt like the surgery patients already knew.

thrivinggp.co.uk

What we did

We treated the website as how the venture takes bookings, not a brochure. Mapped the path from first visit to a booked chat, then built the public site with Cliniko booking inside the page — service, location and slot on one surface the practice can run.

The problems

A generic clinic site would have killed the venture.

Patients paying for private care still needed to recognise their local GPs. The site had to feel like the practice, not a telehealth brochure.

Booking could not be a separate tab.

Every “book a free chat” had to hit real availability. Sending people to another system would have dropped them.

The first offer could not box in the business.

Weight loss was the launch service. The venture needed room for more private pathways without starting again.

What that meant for the venture

  • Patients understand the offer and book on thrivinggp.co.uk
  • Bookings land in Cliniko, not in an inbox
  • Sandbach, Alsager and later sites share one setup
  • Ready for the next private service
FatFish understood what we were trying to build from the first conversation — a private service that still feels like the GP practice our patients already trust. They delivered a polished site and embedded Cliniko booking so people can arrange a free chat without leaving the page.
